old Wives Tales that many of us beleived to be true and have now been proven otherwise.

- Chewing gum takes seven years to pass through digestive system
- Hair has a tendency to grow back thicker and darker after it has been shaved
- If you swim an hour after you eat you will cramp up and drown
- Potted plants and cut flowers will suck the oxygen from sickrooms
